Durant la Mancomunitat, l'Empordà era un punt de referència en la cria d'aviram autòcton. La gallina empordanesa aperdiuada és una espècie minoritària que fa uns peculiars ous foscos pigallats i que va arribar pràcticament a extingir-se. Sostenint-se sobre els propis principis del producte, com el respecte pel medi ambient i les tradicions, el packaging recupera un sistema d'impressió per estampació casolà. El resultat és un embalatge honest, sense elements superficials, que es recolza sobre un naming contundent, clar i descriptiu.

During the Mancommunity period in the early 20th century, the Empordà was a point of reference in Catalan poultry farming, and many shows and competitions were held here. The Empordanese Aperdiuada hen –a minority breed that lays peculiar dark, speckled eggs– almost became extinct during the Civil War. Fortunately, some specimens survived on a farm in Castelló d'Empúries, which led to the recovery of this special breed.
